<My Photo Essay>

  I am now starting my photo essay. I am now in the GLPS in Korean Minjok High School. From today, I will take pictures everyday which were very interesting and I will share them with you guys. I hope you to enjoy watching my photos.

A strange bug

There was a strange bug on a car. It looked very strange. It was brown, had long thin antennas, and had a triangle face. It also had red eyes and red six legs too. I saw this bug the first time. I can't know what kind of the insect that bug was, but it looked very similar like a mantis or a grass hopper. I am curious what is the name of the bug is.

My soccer ball

I played soccer at a big soccer field. The goal post was very big. I was tired to run on a big field. However, it was less hot because the weather helped us by blowing some winds. I think  we had lots of fun playing together at a very huge field that was as big as my school's whole building.

A strange bug again

There was a very strange bug again. But, this time it was inside our room! My roommates and I were very surprised. I think that It came in from an another room. It was a little bit bigger than the last one. It looked like a big beetle. It was a little dark blue color. We trapped the bug by closing the window and the net outside. However, when we opened the window because we were hot, the bug flied around, so we were surprised.

A big tree

Our class did P.E today. We did Ken-do. It was very fun. This is the picture I took when I came back after doing Ken-do. It was a very big beautiful tree. There were very many green leaves, so we were not hot under the hot sun. I think trees are very helpful to us. When it is very hot, it can make us shadow, so we can get cool, and also it is very beautiful for us to look. At spring and summer, they are blue and green and it gives me a peaceful mind. At fall red, yellow and brown colors are so colorful. At winter, there are no leaves but white snow falls on the branches, so they are very white and the icicles that are suspended on branches are beautiful too. I think trees are good and helpful things for us.

A wasp

I saw a big flying insect outside my room's window it was very fast. I thought that it was a bee. However, it wasn't that small as a bee. It was a big wasp. It just wandered around in front of the window. It made a EEEEEE sound. It was very interesting when I looked a wasp right in front of me. It wasn't dangerous because there was a net outside the window, like I said at Thursday. It was a interesting insect.

A huge moth

I saw a very huge moth at the 12th floor of the dormitory to eat breakfast today morning. It's size was almost same as my hand's size x 2. It's body part looked like a spiders body, but two large wings were attached to it. It was very odd and strange moth I've ever seen. There wasn't any that looking strange moth around where I live. I think it will be a very unforgettable memory.

500 won

This is the picture I took in the computer room. I believe everybody knows what this picture is. It is a very common thing. However, I took this picture because I got this common thing from and uncommon way. The way I got this is getting this from the floor!! I saw a silver circle under my seat and I picked it up. I told to the teacher that I found it and the teacher said, "It's yours!" So, I got a 500 won coin from the computer room. I think I was so lucky that time.

Creative Writing

ALIEN EMPIRE  VS  THE EARTH

Prologue

     Now at 2 am, Dr. Ben is working on his industrious robot. He worked on it for 3 months. At the same time, Dr. Alex is almost done with his fighting robot.

     Dr. Ben and Dr. Alex are both famous scientists and inventors. They usually make robots, but their friendship is not good each other, since 10 years ago.

The Past

     This is the story of what happened 10 years ago. Dr. Ben and Dr. Alex are making computers.
 "It is too boring. Instead, robots would be better than such stupid computers." Dr. Alex suddenly said.
 "Hey, it's a great idea! Let's try it right away. Let's make a robot that helps people to use in industry." Dr. Ben said.
 "I do not agree! The fighters are the coolest. They are useful in wars!"
 "They are too dangerous!"
 "They are not. Industry robots have no use!"
 "No, it isn't."
 "It is."
 "It isn't."
 "No!"
 "No!"
 "No!"
 And finally they split and made their own robots.

Present Again

     It is present again. Dr. Ben and Dr. Alex became famous by making robots. All of the people liked the robots at first. However, as time goes by, they found out the problems of the robots. As time goes by, the problems were getting more and more serious.

After 5 years, and 5 years after that

     5 years have passed. Now most people rely on the robots. However, the ability of the robots kept decreasing and decreasing. This situation kept for another 5 years.
     5 years passed again. There is a big disorder in the society. Everyone in the Earth is complaining about the robots.
     At the same time outer space, one alien just united all of the aliens and made an empire named the Alien Empire in the space. The aliens voted for which planet to conquer first. The vote was unanimous. They all wanted the planet EARTH. They had their first attack's date : TODAY.

The First and Second War

     At the first war between the Earth and the Alien Empire, the Earth couldn't win. It was a positive result, because everyone in the Earth had many complaints and they only relied on the robots. Dr. Ben and Dr. Alex are so nervous now. They have the mission to protect the Earth from the aliens. They can not think of any ideas. They must fight against the aliens with the robots.
     Dr. Ben's industrial robots were big and strong, but they were so slow and had no techniques. Dr. Alex's fighting robots were fast and had good fighting techniques, but they were too small and were easily broken. Finally, the Earth lost the second war too. Now, the Earth is only a big garbage can. If the aliens attack one more time, it will be their planet. The Earth is in danger!!

The Third War

     The third war had begun. Dr. Ben and Dr. Alex had two experiences so they did pretty well. They killed many aliens.



     However, there were too much to kill by only 100 industrial robots and 100 soldier robots. There were about 5000 aliens. Now, the robots were damaged a lot too. Now, only 1 industrial robot and 1 soldier robot are left. Dr. Ben and Dr. Alex were hopeless. 100 aliens are coming toward the two tired robots. Suddenly, the two robots stopped and fell 
down and crashed each other. A big amount of smoke came out.

"The WIZARD of OZ"

     It was a fantasy movie. Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin man, Lion, good witch, wicked witches, the Wizard of Oz, and  many other characters came up in the movie.

     It was about Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin man, and Lion going to the Emerald City to meet the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy wanted to go home. When she was going to the Emerald City, she met Scarecrow, Tin man, and Lion. They all wanted something. Scarecrow wanted brain, Tin man wanted heart, and Lion wanted courage. The setting was Kansas, Munchkin Land and Emerald City.

     The movie was fun, because the costumes of the actors were very realistic. Also, I could learn about friendship and leadership from Dorothy and her friends. They helped each other when there was a problem. Also Dorothy led the friends to the Emerald City and showed leadership. I think I should never give up to attain the goal like what Dorothy and her friends did.

My Goals

     First, I'll make a 20-page novel in 30 days. I will count the pages every week. I can improve my writing skills. It is possible for me because I can make a 1 page story in about 30 minutes.

     Next, I'll write a 15-line diary everyday. I can count the lines I wrote everyday, and the teachers will check it. I can write interesting things and I can remember what happened that day. I can write the diary in less than 20 minutes.

     Lastly, I want to win the English Pop Song Contest. I should practice singing everyday. I should memorize the lyrics and the dance moves. If I practice everyday and do my best, our class can win the competition.

Self-Introduction

 Hello? My name is David, Minwoo Kim. I am from Seoul, Korea. I have a 10-year-old younger sister. My parents are pharmacists. They work together, and they love me.

 My hobby is to read books, or to play soccer. I don't like hot and humid summer. My favorite season is fall. It is cool, and the leaves of the trees are beautiful. Also my birthday is in fall.

 At school, my favorite subjects are math and science. I like to  solve problems. Also I love playing soccer with my friends at my school. At home, my parents and my younger sister play with me. However, there is some homework to do, and I need to go to academies.

 But, I enjoy my lifestyle.
